 Deep Creek is a deed restricted suburb just to the Northeast of Port Charlotte. This seems to be a popular location due to its close proximity to Interstate 75. This provides quick access to both Ft. Myers and Sarasota. This is a nice area of newer homes; most are less than 12 years old. Many homes in this area border on golf courses, lakes, or large green belts. There are also a great many Condominiums and Villas in this area most with moderate to lower pricing for this coastal region of Florida.
This area took major damage from Hurricane Charley but has recovered nicely in the last year. Most houses that were damaged were rebuilt to adhere to the new strict hurricane building codes.
 Sandhill Boulevard divides Deep Creek into 2 sections, Section 23 to the south and Section 20 to the north. Both of these sections have its own property owner's association, with its own Board of Directors and set of deed restrictions.
Deep Creek Preserve is a 2000-acre park which borders the northeastern edge of the community of Deep Creek. The preserve currently has miles of hiking and walking trails through its pine forest. Campsites and horse trails have also been proposed for the park.
