 El Jobean is a quiet little town on Route 776 in between Englewood and Port Charlotte. El Jobean is directly across the Myakka River from Gulf Cove. El Jobean lies on the eastern banks of the Myakka River and is approximately 4 miles from Port Charlotte and all of its amenities. This is a really nice location because you are surrounded by all of the amenities you need, but without the hustle and bustle of the more populated areas.
The Myakka River is rather wide this far south and begins to empty into charlotte harbor within a few miles of El Jobean. Many upscale homes are in this area, some of which have docks on the river. The river is salty here, and saltwater fishing is terrific right below the El Jobean Bridge. From El Jobean, one can view spectacular sunsets over the Mayakka River. 
There are many home sites available in this area. Be careful of Scrub Jay habitats when purchasing land here as some of the lots may not be immediately buildable. Many homes have saltwater access via canals with quick access to Charlotte Harbor. Centex has built a terrific gated community in El Jobean called Riverwood. Riverwood has over 16 distinct subdivisions surrounded by lush tropical settings and a 4.5 star Gene Bates Golf Course. Owners in Riverwood also can have access to a 5,000 square foot beach club on nearby Manasota Key. Riverwood also offers a nice fitness center, junior Olympic size swimming pool, Jacuzzi and six tennis courts. If you enjoy planned communities, gorgeous homes and golf courses, this could be the place for you!
