Englewood East is a non deed restricted community that is sandwiched between the Rotonda and state road 776. This is a wonderful area that has some of the best pricing in Englewood. This area is within a stones throw of Rotonda with lot pricing being roughly half of what it is in Rotonda.
There is somewhat of a mixed bag here when it comes to homes. Most of the homes are very nice, a very few others are somewhat dated, but still very tidy. There are a great many building lots here, and with the recent housing boom, there are ever increasing numbers of beautiful new homes. This area offers easy access to both Englewood and Port Charlotte, making it an ideal location to amenities. This area is within a 15 minute drive to Port Charlotte, and a 10 minute drive to Englewood Beach. There are many freshwater canals running through east Englewood, offering waterfront homes at a great price. The drawback is that since the canals really don’t go anywhere, they are basically just for aesthetics and are great for freshwater fishing. You can use small boats to traverse the canal system if your heart desires. Watch out for those Alligators though…they love the canals as much as we do! Englewood East is a great place to live, but hurry because as this area becomes more developed and popular the prices will rise!
