 Placida, FL is at the southernmost point on the Cape Haze Peninsula. This area is located directly across the water from Boca Grande, FL. Everyone visiting Boca Grande by land comes through Placida to get there. Placida is situated where state road 771 and state road 775 meet, which is due south of Englewood.
Placida is a rare gem, mostly undeveloped, with a view of the beautiful blue and green waters of the Gulf of Mexico. If you are looking for an un-crowded paradise, this is it. This area has some nice restaurants, bars, grocery stores, marinas, and golf courses, but shopping is a bit limited. Better shopping is to be had in Englewood and Port Charlotte, all within a quick drive. This area has some fantastic homes. There are some pretty spectacular bay front homes here that sell in the millions. Don’t worry though; there are still some more reasonable domiciles to be had, with prices closer to 300k. There are also many mid to upscale condominium projects underway here. You can still find a nice 2/2 condo starting at 200k.  Placida welcomes you, come and enjoy its solitude and warm gulf breezes.
